Private Brussels Shore Excursion

Atomium is a large model of the atom, originally constructed for the 1958 Brussels World's Fair (Expo 58). The spheres are used for the exibitions and restaurant. Mini-Europe is located at the foot of the Atomium. It has reproductions of roughly 80 cities and 350 buildings of the European Union on show, at a scale of 1:25.

The Grand Place or Grote Markt is the central square of Brussels. It is surrounded by opulent guildhalls. Two main buildings of the square are the city's Town Hall, and the King's House or Breadhouse. Every two years in August, an enormous flower carpet is set up in the Grand Place for a few days.

Manneken Pis means "Little Pisser" in Dutch. It is a small bronze sculpture, depicting a naked little boy urinating into a fountain's basin. Manneken Pis is the best-known symbol of the people of Brussels. It also embodies their sense of humour and their independence of mind. Manneken Pis is dressed in costumes, several times each week, according to a published schedule, which is posted on the railings around the fountain. His wardrobe consists of around one thousand different costumes, many of which may be viewed in a permanent exhibition inside the City Museum, located on the Grand Place.
